I led Naia for Wyld Planet—a character‑led splash teaser that introduced the potential of a virtual, climate‑justice–driven digital persona for their music‑and‑impact platform. My focus was the craft: authoring a consistent character in MetaHuman, staging and lighting in Unreal for clean plates, and applying targeted GenAI stylization to achieve mood without losing identity. The result is a grounded proof of approach—showing how virtual characters can carry tone and purpose across shortform video—while the project itself remains on hold. This piece is less a campaign and more a process‑driven demonstration of what GenAI characters can do for cause‑led storytelling.

Context: WyldPlanet is a music-led impact platform that pairs artist performances with funding for biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration, using culture to support nature-positive work.

Planning pages: the storyboard that shaped our GenAI plates

The politics of GenAI have reshaped the visual arts landscape.

From our front-row seat, we witness how these algorithmic tools quietly reinforce aesthetic biases, privileging certain skin tones, hair textures, and media-driven ideals. Authentic brown representation continues to be sidelined.

These patterns are deeply embedded in both data and design. As creators using GenAI for climate advocacy, we recognize its potential for positive change. By questioning defaults and rebuilding representation, we aim for equity in digital storytelling. The future depends on who gets to be seen, heard, and imagined within these worlds.
